Burg Stein im Drautal
🇦🇹 Austria
Burg Stein im Drautal, also called Schloss Stein, is a well-preserved rock castle dating from the Middle Ages on a steeply rising rock about 200 metres above the valley floor of the Upper Drau valley in Carinthia. It was the centre of the lordship of the same name and stands on the south side of the Drau between Oberdrauburg in the west and Dellach im Drautal in the east, to whose municipal area it belongs. North of the castle, on the other side of the Drau, lies the municipality of Irschen.
