Krakovec Castle (German Rothschloss) lies in Krakovec in the Rakovník District, Czech Republic.

The castle was built around 1383 for Jíra of Roztoky, the burgrave of Křivoklát Castle. From 1410 it belonged to Henry of Lažany and was the last place of residence of Jan Hus before his departure for Constance. In 1437 Johann Bechyňek of Lažany sold the castle and estate for 2500 threescore groschen.

In the 16th century the castle was rebuilt in the Renaissance style. After a fire in 1783 it was abandoned. In 1915 the Club of Czech Tourists (KČT) bought the castle ruin of Krakovec from its last owner, Max von Croÿ-Dülmen. Since 1920 the ruin has borne the name Krakovec.

In 1977 the ruin was the shooting location of the children's musical Long Live Ghosts!; in 1978 scenes for the film The Prince and the Evening Star were filmed here.
