Fernstein Castle is a hilltop castle in the Tyrolean locality of Fernstein, part of the municipality of Nassereith. It lies six kilometres north of Nassereith on a rocky spur above the Fernpass road, which runs from Imst to Reutte (with a branch to Garmisch-Partenkirchen), and above Lake Fernstein. The Via Claudia Augusta cycle route runs directly through the castle.
