Slatiňany Castle

Slatiňany Chateau is among the 20 national cultural monuments of the Pardubice region and is the most important building of the town of Slatiňany in the Chrudim district. Together with the adjoining extensive park and garden, it lies on the western side of the town, from whose centre it is separated by the Chrudimka river. The chateau has a three-wing floor plan in the shape of a U open to the north, with an additional wing extending westward from the northwestern side. Its greatest architectural changes took place in the 19th century, when it was owned by the princely Auersperg family.

The chateau and park are state property and are administered by the National Heritage Institute. Both the park and the chateau are open to the public.
