Úsov Castle
🇨🇿 Czech Republic · 13th century
Úsov Castle is located in Úsov (German: Mährisch Aussee), a town in the Šumperk District in the Czech Republic.
According to archaeological finds, a 13th-century castle originally stood on the site of the present building. In 1487 the lords of Vlašim rebuilt the castle palace; minor alterations were carried out by the lords of Boskovice and, from the 17th century, by the Liechtensteins, who owned the castle until 1945. The castle contains a collection of trophies from the Liechtenstein hunting expeditions to Africa, Asia and Europe.
