Castell de Maús, situated in the municipal district of Sueras (province of Castellón, Spain), is of Arab origin like the rest of those in the sierra and was built in the 12th century.

It stands on the summit of the Suera Alta hill at an altitude of 582 m. To reach it one must cross the built-up area by the road leading to Ayódar; once past the village and before crossing the river at the exit, take a track on the left which leads along the right bank of the Castro ravine. Continue along the track until reaching the spring of the same name and from there along the track above until arriving at the castle. It can also be reached by a path found shortly before arriving at Suera Alta.

The castle is in ruins, but its abruptly cut silhouette is one of the most striking of the castles of Espadán. Large stretches of wall can still be seen, as well as the lower part of what must have been the main tower.

It is a castle associated with four Muslim farmsteads to which it gave protection and which, after the conquest, were grouped into a single urban nucleus, the present-day Sueras.
