Castello della Pietra
🇮🇹 Italy
The Castello della Pietra (in German: castle of the stone) is a rock castle built in the 13th century near the Ligurian municipality of Vobbia. It lies in the Val Vobbia, a side valley of the Scrivia in the Metropolitan City of Genoa.
The castle stands raised between two rocky cones which form a natural fortification. It dominates the connecting road to Isola del Cantone, which runs along the river Vobbia. The Castello della Pietra can be reached only on foot, by a woodland path and then a steep staircase.
