Fužine Castle
🇸🇮 Slovenia
Fužine Castle (Slovene Grad Fužine, historical German name: Schloss Kaltenbrunn) is a castle complex on the river Ljubljanica in the south-eastern part of Ljubljana (German Laibach), the capital of Slovenia. The castle received its Slovene name from the fužine, that is, the ironworks which were located in its vicinity. This is also the name of the locality Fužine (Ljubljana) on the opposite, right bank of the Ljubljanica and of the newly built city quarter Nove Fužine on the same, that is, the left bank of the river, which belongs to the Ljubljana city district of Moste.
