The Lónyay mansion, Tuzsér stands in the northern part of the village, at the centre of the Tisza bend, 300–350 metres from the flood-protection embankment. According to tradition it was rebuilt into its present form largely in the last quarter of the 18th century, after 1787, out of the bastioned fortified castle of the old Ambrózy mansion, presumably reusing its material as well. It was originally a single-storey Baroque manor house, which with the building of its wings today forms a closed complex.
