Schloss Bärnegg is the ruin of a hilltop castle near Elsenau, in the municipality of Schäffern in the Wechselland, in eastern Styria. It is a listed monument (list entry).
It was built in the late 12th century and first mentioned in a document in 1312. Owners of the castle were the noble families of the Perner, the Teuffenbach, the Reichenberg and the Rindsmaul families. In the 17th century the arcaded courtyard was extended, and in 1703 a castle chapel was built. Schloss Bärnegg has fallen into ruin only in recent decades.
