Castell de Burriac, or castle of Sant Vicenç de Burriac, is built on the hill of Burriac, located 401 metres above sea level between the towns of Argentona and Cabrera de Mar.

The castle was built on an earlier defensive tower; the first documentation mentioning its existence dates from the year 1017, in a document that Berenguer Ramon I received from the countess Ermessenda, his mother.

Between the 12th and 13th centuries the keep, the storehouses and the chapel were built.

It belonged initially to the Sant Vicenç family (for which reason it was called the Castle of Sant Vicenç until 1313) and from the 14th century to the Bosc or Desbosch family.

Around the 18th century the castle definitively fell out of use, but the activity of its chapel did not cease until 1836. Today it belongs to the town council of Cabrera de Mar.
