Description

The Château de Bosmelet is a 17th-century residence standing in the territory of the former French commune of Auffay, in the department of Seine-Maritime, in the Normandy region.

The château, a witness to Louis XIII-style architecture, now newly devoted to art and culture, displays the performing arts collection of the Alain Germain fund. Its park is complemented by a walled flower garden, an 18th-century chapel, and a late-16th-century orangery. Visitors can also discover 18th-century wrought-iron gates, a ha-ha, and, in the shade of 550-year-old chestnut trees, remains from the Second World War (a bunker, tracks leading to the V1 launch ramp). The château is partly protected as a historic monument.
