In 1988 the fort was taken over by the Przyjaciel Konika branch of the Society for the Promotion of Physical Culture (a non-profit organisation with public-benefit status), which conducts activities aimed mainly at children and young people: horse recreation, equine rehabilitation of disabled children – hippotherapy – and the popularisation of historical and natural heritage through appropriate management of fort 49 1/4 "Grębałów". At present the restored traditor of the fort houses an educational exhibition and a training room. The fort can be visited during the facility's opening hours.
