Gyeyangsanseong Fortress

Gyeyangsanseong Fortress (桂陽山城) is a mountain fortress of the Three Kingdoms period that stood on the eastern ridge of Mount Gyeyang in Gyesan-dong, Gyeyang District, Incheon. Having long been left in a collapsed state, it has been the subject of a restoration project since 2021. In the Joseon period it was also called Gosanseong, and it was built not around the summit of Mount Gyeyang but around Mount Goseong, a peak 202 m above sea level.

Gyeyangsanseong, which had collapsed to the point where its form was hard to make out, was designated Monument No. 10 of Incheon on 15 May 1992, and excavation surveys were carried out from 2003, with an excavation report published in 2008.
