Lesko Castle
🇵🇱 Poland · 16th century
Lesko Castle – a Late Gothic castle in the valley of the San, now a holiday resort.
Construction of the castle began in 1538 in place of an earlier small wooden castle, after the Kmitas moved from nearby Sobień. The castle was initially the property of the Grand Marshal of the Crown Piotr Kmita Sobieński of the Szreniawa coat of arms.
