The Castle in Łowicz is the ruins of a castle of the archbishops of Gniezno built in the 14th century. From the 15th until the end of the 18th century it was the most important residence of the archbishops of Gniezno (primates of Poland). It is situated on the outskirts of Łowicz at the crossing over the Łęczyca Marshes of the road route from Gniezno to Warsaw and from Toruń to Lviv.
