Tai'an Lou is located on Tai'an Road, Huliao town, Dabu county, Meizhou city, Guangdong province, China; it is a square tulou inhabited by the Lan family, built in the twenty-eighth year of the Qianlong era of the Qing (1763), facing south-west with its back to the north-east, 49 metres long and 52.6 metres wide, covering an area of 6,684 square metres, with 200 rooms in all. The walls are built of earth, stone and brick. In 2002 it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong province. On 7 October 2019 it was announced as one of the eighth batch of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.
