Triberga Castle

Triberga Castle, in Swedish Triberga fornborg or Triberga borg, is a vanished prehistoric ring fort and archaeological site east of the Triberga mosse wetland near the village of Triberga in the district of Mörbylånga on the island of Öland in Kalmar County in southern Sweden. The fort is dated with certainty to the Migration Period (400–550 AD) or is even older, probably from the 3rd century. Excavations around the year 2000 revealed one of the gates, a water cistern/well and also the remains of buildings from the Iron Age and the Middle Ages.
