The city walls in Shangqiu are located in Gucheng subdistrict, Suiyang district, Shangqiu city, Henan province, People's Republic of China, and were listed in 1996 among the fourth batch of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.

In the fifteenth year of the Hongzhi era of the Ming (1502) the original city wall was destroyed by flooding, and in the sixth year of the Zhengde era (1511) a city wall was rebuilt north of the original city. Today, apart from the gate towers, the city wall, the city moat and the layout of the roads within the city are all well preserved. The earthen city wall lies on the outside, is nearly circular and has a circumference of 8 kilometres; the brick city wall lies inside, is nearly rectangular and has a circumference of 4,355 metres.
