The City Walls of Zhaoqing (also called the Zhaoqing Song city wall) are located in Duanzhou district, Zhaoqing city, Guangdong province, People's Republic of China. Most of the wall is now fully preserved; it is roughly rectangular, broad from east to west and narrow from north to south, with a circumference of 2,801 metres, of which the eastern section is 403.4 metres, the western section 376.9 metres, the southern section 992.3 metres and the northern section 1,028.6 metres; there are 28 enemy platforms in all and four city gates, east, west, south and north, with the Piyun Tower built on the north-western wall. On 19 November 1984 it was announced as one of the first batch of cultural relic protection units of Zhaoqing city. In 2001 it was listed among the fifth batch of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.
